Introducing the recently launched EU-funded BOOST4BIOEAST project.

The bioeconomy has been identified as a priority due to the promising bio-based value chains, which have the potential to act as a solution towards achieving sustainable economic models. In 2016, the BIOEAST Initiative was established with its 11 Central Eastern European and Baltic countries to play a key role in helping the macroregion in its transition to circular bioeconomies.

The recently launched EU-funded BOOST4BIOEAST project was developed to support the BIOEAST Initiative. The project aims to mobilise and connect bioeconomy stakeholders with policymakers through national BIOEAST HUBs to strengthen their engagement in bioeconomy policy, research, and innovation environments and to set-up long-lasting structures for cooperation and networking at national and macro-regional levels.
